LA County Film Office & California Film Commission Meeting

Yesterday your favorite United States Air Force / United States Space Force Entertainment Liaison Office attended a LA County Film Office meeting.

LtCol Gina McKeen (our new Director) and I listened to Gary Smith (Head of the Film Office) and Colleen Bell (Executive Director, California Film Commission) share thoughts about ways to encourage more filming locally and increase opportunities for those looking to enter the entertainment industry. For productions concerned about the cost & challenges of filming in the area, know that they hear you.

Our contribution to the effort is simply to let creatives know that they have local options when they want to depict military personnel, places or assets. There are several Air Force & Space Force bases in California (including our own office at LA Air Force Base in El Segundo.) If you're a filmmaker looking to depict Airmen or Guardians, you don't have to travel far!
