The Television Academy Visits the Air Force
On Tuesday your favorite United States Air Force Entertainment Liaison Office hosted the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences on a tour of March Air Reserve Base, continuing our push to help storytellers learn more about how they can get help with military depiction in their projects.
When it comes to being a father, you don’t have to B-1 to drop knowledge bombs
The US Air Force’s B-1 bomber is pretty impressive. When it drops bombs, it leaves a lasting effect — just like those who served as father figures in our lives.
You should B-1.
The longest “four years” ever
A lot can happen in four years. The Air Force and Marine Corps both offer great opportunities to those who are willing to take advantage. I’m glad I did.
Focus on “CAN”
When we get wrapped up in what we want or expect to happen in our lives, sometimes it's harder to let go of the stress and anxiety, worrying about what to do next.
Darrick got an Emmy!
Last week, our United States Air Force Entertainment Liaison office had a blast spreading the word on our support for storytellers depicting the military. Thanks to Warner Bros. Entertainment for an amazing studio tour, and kudos to Capt Jasmine Manning! Plus, a fruitful visit to the Television Academy sets the stage for potential collaborations, and hey, they even gave me an Emmy (temporarily)!
Meeting the REAL “Top Gun”
Colonel (ret.) James Harvey III, a Tuskegee Airman and original winner of the United States Air Force's "Top Gun" competition visited Los Angeles Air Force Base at 100 years old, sharing his remarkable story and wisdom with Guardians and Airmen. His visit, organized by the Space Systems Command Public Affairs office and the United States Space Force Entertainment Liaison Office, left a lasting impact on all who attended.
Delores Muller at the Super Bowl
African-American History is AMERICAN History, a truth exemplified by Major Remoshay "Mesha" Nelson, the first Black female officer to join the United States Air Force Thunderbirds Air Demonstration Squadron. Yet, behind the spotlight, there's Delores Muller, the first Black woman to earn the Thunderbirds patch, whose legacy reminds us of the hidden narratives within our shared history.
We owe it to America to help Hollywood get it right
The military's partnership with Hollywood is longstanding, yet many filmmakers are unaware of our dedicated office assisting in accurate military storytelling. Instead of building fake sets, studios can access real Airmen and bases, enriching their narratives.
